Parking on the Plot: Dimensions, Surface, and Placement

  • Gravel/crushed stone. A budget-friendly option with good drainage. Easy to lay yourself. Disadvantages: requires regular replenishment, particles can spread across the plot, and the surface becomes uneven over time. Edging is necessary to retain the layer.
  • Eco-parking (grass grid). An ecological solution that preserves the grass cover. Special grids protect grass roots from wheels. Suitable for light cars and infrequent use, requires lawn care. Does not withstand intensive loads.

Regardless of the choice, the key elements are a quality base and effective drainage to prevent water stagnation and surface damage.

Parking placement on the plot: ergonomics and regulations

The ideal place for parking is as close as possible to the entrance to the plot and, if possible, to the entrance to the house. This minimizes the path with groceries and increases convenience. At the same time, it is necessary to observe setbacks from the plot boundaries and residential buildings.
